ENGAGEMENTS

Clear engagements, no surprises

Two ways to work with us, both scoped through your Mission Brief. Capacity deliberately limited to a few parallel mandates.

No supplier commissions

You pay for verification alone; deal execution runs through a separate, declared sourcing agreement.

Everything on quote

Each engagement is scoped individually from your Mission Brief. You invest in a decision, not in a package.

Field expenses at cost

Travel and on-site expenses are billed at cost, with receipts. No margin on logistics.

ONE-OFF MISSION
On quote · scoped by your Mission Brief
  • A defined question, answered on the ground: fair coverage, supplier verification, due diligence
  • Dedicated field team, native negotiation over WeChat
  • Deliverable: a documented, audit-ready Mission Report
  • No long-term commitment

Field volume

From 3 field days

Extended missions go further: a reference mission covers up to 19 days and 4 trade fairs.

For a first verification before committing capital.

ONGOING ADVISORY
Retainer on quote · scoped per mandate
  • Continuous sector monitoring and intelligence notes
  • Priority field windows and regular briefings
  • Supplier qualification on request
  • Portfolio-wide coverage available for funds

Field volume

Priority field windows, set per mandate

Monitoring runs continuously; field windows follow the trade fair calendar and your priorities.

For teams and funds that keep Asia on their radar, permanently.

HOW WE EVALUATE

Four variables behind every quote

We do not publish a price grid, but we can show you exactly what a quote is made of. Every proposal you receive breaks down along these four variables, line by line.

  1. 01

    Perimeter

Your Mission Brief fixes the question: which decision, which product lines, which fairs or regions. A tight perimeter keeps field time where your answer actually lives.

  2. 02

    Team

The perimeter sets who goes: the size of the field team, the languages the mission requires, and the local coordination in Shenzhen that backs it throughout.

  3. 03

    Field days

Perimeter and team translate into days on the ground, the main driver of any quote. One-off missions start from 3 field days.

  4. 04

    Deliverables

Last, we agree on the form your decision needs: Mission Report, scored shortlist, intelligence notes, and the depth of documentation behind each.

The detailed weighting stays in-house. The structure does not: you will find these four lines in every quote we send.

WORKED EXAMPLES

What a scoped mission looks like

Three engagements, drawn from the client profiles we serve. Identities and specifics are anonymized; the structure is real.

Face-to-face supplier negotiation on the ground in China

One-off mission

An SME verifies before ordering

What was framed & proposed
What gets framed
One supplier already in discussion, one factory to verify before capital is committed: production capacity, certifications, real working conditions.
What we propose
A single pass on the ground: factory visit, face-to-face qualification, and a documented Mission Report with photographic evidence your board can challenge.

Volume From 3 field days

Humanoid robotics on display at a Chinese trade fair

Ongoing advisory

A fund keeps a sector under watch

What was framed & proposed
What gets framed
A watch perimeter defined at mandate level: portfolio companies sourcing in Asia, targets to assess, sector signals to read before they reach the press.
What we propose
Continuous monitoring with intelligence notes written for committees, priority field windows around the fair calendar, supplier qualification on request.

Volume Retainer · field windows per mandate

Canton Fair aisles during a field mission

One-off mission, extended

A scale-up goes from shortlist to contract

What was framed & proposed
What gets framed
A product moving to industrial volumes: specifications, certifications (CE/RoHS), sampling requirements, and a supply base to verify before scaling on it.
What we propose
A mission that starts one-off and carries through execution: scored shortlist, sampling rounds, WeChat-native negotiation through to signature, under a separate, declared sourcing agreement.

Volume Extended mission · reference: 19 days, 4 fairs

INSIDE A QUOTE

The structure of a AMIGOFRIEND quote

An anonymized example, line by line. We show volumes, never amounts: the figures belong in your quote, not on a public page.

Why no public prices?

Because two missions with the same title rarely cover the same perimeter. A price grid would tell you little about your case; the four variables above tell you a lot. Each engagement is quoted individually from your Mission Brief, and the quote itself is itemized along the structure shown here.

Ongoing advisory follows the same logic, scoped at mandate level rather than mission level.

A clear perimeter, a counted number of days, a deliverable built to be challenged. The rest is set together, in the Mission Brief.

Every engagement is scoped individually, on quote, from your Mission Brief. No supplier commissions: deal execution runs through a separate, declared sourcing agreement. Field expenses at cost, with receipts. Subject to mandate acceptance.
